Functional finishes for textiles: Coating on textiles using metal oxide nanoparticles and polymer composites enables new functionalities. Electrochemical and chemical coating of Polypyrrole, PAN, PEDOT/PSS, PVDF/HFP, PVC/Ppy and PMMA/PPy on cotton fabrics is studied and their properties as well as electrical conductivity also discussed. Polymer/ZnO nanoparticles coating on cotton fabrics studies show the enhancement of UV protection behavior of textiles.
