  • Impact of the contributions in the field concerned: Applied work in Strategic area Electroforming of metals & alloys is one of the wide areas of Industrial Metal Finishing. Electroforming is an ionic fabrication and sincere reproduction process which is currently employed to fabricate critical components like moulds for currency note, coins, holograms, compact discs in computers and other Space & Nuclear sectors
  • Electrofabrication of various categories of cryogenic rocket engine thrust chambers. This hi-tech process has been employed for the fabrication of Cryogenic Rocket Engine Thruster for ISRO’s space programs. This is the critical technology, where the expertise in Electroforming and Engineering both are required. This is a strategic area of high tech field, where technologies are not available for producing the cryogenic rocket engine thrusters by the electroforming route. Significant contributions have been made for the successful development of Cryogenic rocket engine thruster for our nation’s Space program. All the electroformed thrusters have qualified by conducting various pressure and fire tests. These engines were used to gather data on Cryogenic rocket engine in the Space history
