  • It is reported that more than 1.2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water, 2.6 billion have little or no sanitation, millions of people die annually - 3,900 children a day - from diseases transmitted through unsafe water or human excreta. Hydrogen is proposed as a major energy carrier for the future world. The most desirable source of hydrogen is water, as it is abundant and contains no carbon. The production of hydrogen and oxygen from water, or ‘‘water splitting’’ is best available technology. In view of the above following technologies are transfer for societal use

    • Electrochemical Hydrogen compressor
    • Activated electrodes for hydrogen generation plant
    • Proton Exchange Membrane based electrolyser for Hydrogen Generation
