CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute(CSIR-CECRI), Karaikudi, one of the National Laboratories of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is looking for suitable person for the post of MEDICAL OFFICER (male) (Technical Gr.III) in the Pay Band of Rs.15600-39100 (PB-3) with Grade Pay of Rs.6,600.

| Benefits
under Council Service: |
|
| 1. |
This post carries usual allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc., as admissible to the Central Government employees as made applicable to CSIR. |
| 2. |
In
addition to the pay & allowances, benefits such as reimbursement of
medical expenses, Leave Travel Concession, Conveyance Advance and House
Building Advance are available as per rules of CSIR. |

3. |
The selected candidates will be governed by the provisions of the New Pension Scheme as introduced by the GOI and as adopted by CSIR. |
| Age Relaxations: | |
|
1. |
Age limit: The age should not exceed the limit prescribed
for the post as on 30.01.2012 i.e.the closing date of receipt of the applications.
The SC/ST/OBC candidates who apply against unreserved (UR) post will not
be eligible for age relaxation. |
|
2. |
Age relaxation of 5 years is permissible for those working in CSIR/Govt./Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertaking. |
|
3. |
Relaxation
of 5 years will also be permissible to those who had ordinarily been domiciled
in the Kashmir division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period
from 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989 subject to production of relevant certificate
from concerned authority. |
| General Conditions/Information: | |
| 1. |
The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained through recognized
Universities/Institutions. |
|
2. |
The date for determining the upper age limit, qualification and/or experience
shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of application form i.e.
30.01.2012. |
|
3. |
The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualification prescribed for that Group/Grade. |
|
4. |
SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities and Departmental candidates of CSIR are
exempted from payment of application fee. |
|
5. |
Applications
from candidates working in Government Departments, Autonomous Bodies,
Public Sector Undertakings will be considered only if forwarded through
proper channel. |
|
6. |
Application
Fee once paid will not be refunded. |
|
7. |
The
Essential Qualifications prescribed are a bare minimum and mere possession
of same will not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. Where
number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large,
the Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview
to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher
than that of the minimum prescribed and experience possessed in the relevant
field, over and above the minimum qualifications prescribed. |

8. |
Age
limit, qualification and/or experience can be relaxed in the cases of
exceptionally meritorious candidates. |
|
9. |
Applications
incomplete in any respect or received after the due date or unsigned are
liable to be rejected. |
|
10. |
Outstation
candidates called for interview will be paid to and fro single second
class rail fare/ordinary bus fare from the normal place of their residence
or that declared in the application or from the actual place of undergoing
the journey, in India, whichever is nearer to the place of the interview,
as per rules. |

11. |
It
is preferable that the selected candidate stay in accommodation which
can be provided on the campus. |
|
12. |
Canvassing
in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will
be treated as a disqualification for the post. |
|
13. |
The
decision of the Director, CECRI in all matters relating to eligibility,
acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of
test/interview and not to fill up the post will be final and binding on
the candidates. No enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this
connection. |

To
apply, candidates must fill in the application form downloadable
from the link below. The filled in application form duly signed
together with recent passport size photograph, application fee of Rs.100/-
in the form of Demand Draft (if applicable) drawn on any Nationalized
Bank in favour of Director, CECRI, payable at Karaikudi,
with attested copies of Matriculation/SSLC as proof of age, all degree
certificates for educational qualifications & copies of mark sheets
for all semesters/years, SC/ST/PWD certificates, work experience certificates,
testimonials etc., should be sent in a sealed cover superscribed “Application
for the post of Medical Officer(male), Advt.No.02/2011” so
as to reach Controller of Administration, Central Electrochemical
Research Institute, Karaikudi – 630 006, Tamil Nadu on or before
30.01.2012. Applications received after the closing date for
any reason whatsoever will not be entertained by CECRI. |
